Spontaneous enjoyment

Spontaneous enjoyment

Last Friday afternoon I walked through the door of my castle. And as I walked over the bridge that connects the main castle with the courtyard, a wonderful smell entered my nose.
The lawn had been mowed and was being watered. The Magnolia was showing off in the sunlight and a fresh mist came softly down on my face.

And then suddenly they are there again, those small events, those small wonderful moments of simplicity, and how good they feel.
Sometimes they suddenly creep away from you very slowly and then suddenly they are in front of you again. They pass your train of thought, or they spontaneously enter your nose when you smell that one scent, which immediately connects you with that special moment.
These small, but very present moments, which spontaneously enter you, give a nice feeling at any desired moment. But in my opinion it seems that in the spring, this form of joy, the reunion and that right spontaneous experience has just that little bit more value.

The first warmth that you feel from the spring sun that warms your cheeks or arms so lovingly. The sound of the first bumblebee queens, seeing the first tender leaves on the bushes and trees. The first stalk sticking out of the earth after you have sown that tiny seed.
A blackbird that, who sit close to you with his mouth full of worms, staring at you from very close by.
And what do you think of the robin that actually always, but at this time, (spring) seems to be even more present.
Blue grapes that pop up everywhere, and ‘the’ Magnolia that spontaneously drops its leaves everywhere. Brimstone butterflies, peacock butterflies, fire butterflies, cabbage whites and the orange tips. Butterflies, every time again they give that impressive form of transformation.
Dandelions, crawling ants, that cooling breeze and that glass of wine that is in front of you. Because it simply can and because it tastes like more.
For a moment it gives you that thought again.

While this special memory is combined with the calling of the Tjif Tjaf in the background. You feel the sun warming your face again, the wine still tastes like more, and you realize every time again that you can be grateful for it.
For what you do, what you feel and for who you are. You realize that forgiveness is the only way to move on.
Listening to yourself is not that easy, we humans often see it sooner in others than in ourselves. But through those small events, through the openness of emotion, it gives you a little more confidence and you know very well that you have to start with yourself.
So close your eyes and observe the smell when you are standing at the lake. Feel the warmth of that tasty cup of coffee with perhaps that sweet piece of cake. Do something different for once and just give that nice compliment. Be happy with what you have and tell that person that you like him or her.

And if you sometimes feel a bit down, if you are sometimes not completely yourself, that is what we are human for after all. Then take a big breath of life energy. Take a deep breath and remember these special moments. Then you will automatically come back to the present and you will know what you stand for and who you are.

The smell of sprinklers that water the heated lawn, the Magnolia that is in bloom and the young chicks of the Egyptian geese on this beautiful castle. This castle with her beautiful gardens, beautiful towers, wooden doors, loving people and six funny and noisy runner ducks.

The sun gives extra strength at this time of year and all these small but especially nice memories ensure that life goes the way it goes. Can you change anything about that? What do you think.

Just do it again, close your eyes and fly away. Take that turn and follow your feelings. Give that compliment, be kind to each other and realize that everything you give will eventually come back to you. Whether you are a lady of the castle or not, you decide your path, you decide where you go. And whether you do that alone, with your lover or with that funny couple of runner ducks.

Keep up the good work and most of all… Enjoy!!
